The dryer not spinning – a bad Belt, a Drum Roller, a blocked Fan, Motor, or  Idler Pulley could also be the cause.

The dryer isn’t producing heat – this problem may be due to a bad Temperature Switch, Incoming Power Problem, Clogged Vent, Timer or Main Control Board, Gas Valve Solenoid, Gas Valve, Igniter, Flame Sensor, High-Limit Thermostat, Cycling Thermostat or faulty Heating Element.
Most electric dryers need two legs of 120 volts AC (240 volts in total) to operate correctly. Sometimes one of circuit breakers trips and the Dryer will stop to heat.The Temperature Switch protects the dryer from overheating. When it malfunctions, your dryer will not heat too. The Heating Element is supposed to warm the air before it enters the drum of the Dryer and could be burnt if the Dryer isn’t producing enough heat.

The dryer makes noise – – This noise can be caused by faulty drum rollers, a blocked blower wheel, or an idler pulley. The idler pulley allows the drive belt to work properly by maintaining tension on the drum belt to prevent slippage when there is a load in the dryer. . The idler pulley can wear out over time due to friction and high speeds. And it will start making a loud creaking noise. The ventilation wheel can be unbalanced, loosened or blocked by objects, and it will then make a loud rumbling sound.

The dryer won’t run – a bad Main Control Board or Timer, Motor, broken Thermostat, a Start Switch or Door Switch could also be the cause.
